Then you’re reading the wrong site! This is the “old” site. Consider it the archives of a past time… A time that has passed and will not be passed through again. There’s some good times here, some bad times, and just some hilarious events. But all of them are complete. In the meantime, I’ve gone back to writing. Feel free to read about the new events at dalani.wordpress.com.
Have a blessed day!

When people visit my site via the fantastic Firefox 3, they get the below image:
Incredibly frustrating is the fact that there is no helpful information to explain exactly what the culprit is. Most everything is a bit vague and basically, tells me to clean out my site. I don’t have a huge problem doing this but you’d think they could be a bit more helpful. Supposedly Google sends out an email when they find a problem like this, but not only do I use gmail but also their website stat services and no email anywhere. Makes me wonder how many other programs are blocking my site without me having a say on the matter.
I’m not malicious and neither is my site. Now to just prove it to Google and the world. (Oh, and thanks to Darel for pointing out that Firefox 3 brands me evil!)

We went and saw Speed Racer on Saturday. It was eye candy in some scenes. And definitely had some imaginative story telling (via imagery). But… I wouldn’t see it again in the theatre. As a matter of fact, I wouldn’t have seen it at all in the theatre if it wasn’t for the Terrors. And I must say, they absolutely loved it.
Oh… As we were entering, someone said to me, “The chimp steals the show.” Couldn’t be more accurate!
Oh… And the theme song is available on iTunes. Definitely a swingy little ditty. It’s a dance styled song and I had to buy it because it makes me want to get up and dance around the room.
Oh… National Treasure: Book of Secrets came out of DVD today! Gonna have to buy that sometime because I just love that movie. Well, and because I like to look at Justin Bartha.

I don’t know why it’s happening and yet it is. There are duplicate posts showing up on Rachel’s blog. To call it frustrating is an understatement. I finally upgraded her to 2.5.1, which was easy, as usual. I can’t think of a time when upgrading WordPress was tough, so that’s not really a surprise. And yet, every post that she’s made since the upgrade has duplicated and I can’t figure out why. I’m still researching, but if anyone has the answer, please leave a comment or send me an email! TY!
It was a plugin. Not sure which one, but it’s fixed! Woot!

I swear, I thought I fell off it. I apologize again for not updating. It’s just that the darn blog gets the bottom of the barrel when it comes to my times. That’s not good, I know.
I’m thinking of trying something different. I’ll keep you posted. I promise.
In the meantime, change is on the wind. I can feel it in my bones. Change is good. And sometimes, change is what keeps up motivated & thrilled to be alive. I’m feeling froggy, I must say. So, may the wind fill your sails and make your ship change directions as it appears to be making mine. Sometimes it’s not the course we plot, but we still can make the most of the voyage.

So, I went to my endodontist (who writes a blog, which just amazes me) and he redid my root canal. It sucked majorly. Still does, actually. My jaw hurts and I have a massive headache. At least it was entertaining while I was there anyway. My endodontist sings along with a random iTunes selection while he does this stuff. So it’s amusing and yet, I can tell you, he has a nice voice. And he knows the words (mostly). At least he wasn’t asking me questions while I was all jammed up (they use this plastic protector and it pretty much covers the whole mouth.) What I did enjoy was that even though it was really cold in there, they had blankets for patients and offered me one while they were working on me. I was wearing my turtleneck and sweater and was still cold. I mean, they completely stopped working on my mouth to get me a blanket. I was thrilled by that! And then, after it was done, I suggested that he think of adding The Format & Plain White Ts to his iTunes and he bought an album from both right then and there. I can appreciate a person who loves music and trusts my opinion even though I could have been completely off base, ya know?
Even with the pain, it was a good day.

Shouldn’t we all be so thrilled with simple things?
I have the day off from work tomorrow but I’m finding that it’s probably not going to be a real day off. I’ll be spending the morning at the dentist and then the afternoon doing who knows what. I should be working, heaven knows there’s plenty of items left undone currently. But I don’t want to! I want to goof off. That’s not very productive, now is it?
Anyway, I’ve got nothing much to report here. Simply a boring day with a boring evening. I am not complaining!

I just adore this photo! Too cute, isn’t it?
There are plenty of others from the session and it worked out well. I am thrilled with the prospect of even more adorable photos next weekend if it goes even half as good as this weekend.
Spent the evening working on them. Not bad, about six hours of time (which is great!) and there were tons of breaks in between. It was nice to be productive, though.
Tonight looks to be cold! They say it’s gonna be around 47. Which isn’t terribly cold but it sure feels like it is! I miss the warmer days. Of course, like I’ve probably said before, remind me when it’s hotter than Hades, that I was whiney when it was cold out.

It’s Super Bowl weekend and of course, being in Arizona, people are a bit nuts this weekend. The parties have been happening all week through out the valley (mostly in Snobsdale, because that’s where the rich mainly live). And yet, I’ve been mostly unaffected by it. I don’t really care who wins or loses. I’m just not into football. Can someone explain to me the draw of the game? I don’t understand how people can just lunge into each other, chasing after a ball. I guess it’s not worse than soccer in that sense. Except I find soccer players more attractive than football players. Maybe that’s it for me. Maybe if I found football players attractive, I’d actually want to watch their games. As it is, the only things worth watching are the commercials, the half time show, and the cheerleaders.
It’s all about the entertainment, right?

(MUCH Better Larger)
It was a quiet night. Had chinese food and contemplated life. Okay, not really.
However, I did put some plans in action for my weekend. My thought it that I should take some time tomorrow and try to finish up some more random photos. I’ve got a lovely section on my Picasa where I mark all the photos that I should do something with. And I got really creative with the name and called it… “Do Something with These”. Original, I know.
You’re jealous of my writing talent now, aren’t you?
I also need to get everything worked out with organizing my photos. I’ve been doing a little bit every day in an attempt to get them all wrangled the way they’re supposed to be. I have been doing something similar with my music, too. As much as I love my iTunes, I found that when I switched computers, I was unable to keep my music organized like I had hoped. So, I’m going through, getting rid of duplicates (who knew they took up so much room) and then tagging them, too. I think this will make my life mucho easier later on, once I get a system in place. The hardest part about organization is getting through the initial parts of it. I think that once it’s done, it’s much easier to maintain. Similar to weight loss, in that respect.
Anyway, I have a session coming up for both this weekend and next, which I am so terribly excited about.
They’re going to be mainly Valentine sessions, with a little something extra thrown in.
I’ll post photos when I get them finished!
